This is near Kamiah Idaho and really cute! There is sleeping quarters & kitchen and bath.

Remembering Back

Since my camera is broke and cannot take photos, here is one of the mystical places that Dan and I enjoyed.
This is the archeological site of EL TAJIN, it is located between Poza Rica and Papantla in the state of Veracruz Mexico. It is close to Papantla, home of the Totonac Indians. A very unique place. The day we went there was a special festival and the leaders of our group were gifted with a key to the small town made from vanilla beans. Alot of Vanilla is grown here. It is also the home to the famous Voladores. The men climb a tall pole and then tie ropes to their feet and spin in circles till the long ropes touch the ground. During this time one Indian stands atop doing a dance blowing a whistle! It is quite a show!!

I enjoyed shopping in the markets, the people were very nice and friendly there.
The tags you see on Dan and I are our ID for our tours. 

Fun times at Lake Easton

Well folks my camera has bit the dust so I can't take any photos. My dear Boomer friends Diane Fisher and Laura Bornkamp came to my rescue and let me copy a bunch of their photos so I'm a Happy Camper!

Dan thinks I broke the camera because I have been hinting I wanted a new camera! ME? ....Tempting..... but no it broke on it's own from all the constant use on it.

Dan and I arrived to Lake Easton Resort in Easton Wa Sunday 23rd, we left a very HOT Union Gap in Eastern WA after visiting our dear Aunt Margaret in Yakima and getting some motorhome work done . When we arrived we noticed someone was in our favorite spot but alas we found another site and relished getting a large campsite with full-hookups with lots of shade and wi-fi . Lake Easton Resort is our HOME PARK for Coast 2 Coast membership. We have been members here for a LONG time. First time we came out we had the little 18 ft Nomad travel trailer and we were the smallest in the park. Now we are one of the biggest with the Alfa.

We love this park, Dan loves to ride his bike down the John Wayne trail and I love to get my kayak out on Lake Easton. The State Park is pretty quiet during the weekdays but busy on the weekends. Seems there are more in the Resort and mostly because it is a Membership Park that has a clubhouse, restrooms & pool.

Cats are happy to be back outside and Biff has been on his honor to stay close to the motorhome because he will not wear his harness.....he really cops a catitude!
Spoiled Sasha with his wheatgrass plant to nibble on. Keeps him from eating grass and barfing...yuck! Weather is cooling down and very nice.

Today the Fisher-Baker's , Bornkamps , Dan & I met down at the Sunset Cafe in Cle Elum WA and had a great lunch, shopped a bit at Safeway before coming back and went swimming.
It is such a joy to see our RV friends when we can. RVing friends are like Cousins to us and we love them dearly and love getting together with them!
Laura showed me how to download "Picasa" to store my photos and it is easier to add to my blog so I was very happy she showed me that!

Diane and Jim just came back from Europe and the photos they took were wonderful!! They loved being in France, they went to several other countries too and said everyone was very friendly. One of these days Dan and I will do the European tour too but we want to fly over and rent a RV there. I would love to go to Ireland, England & Spain. We have friends who live in Spain and we can rent out one of their houses if we wanted to. Future dreams aaaah!

Yesterday we had a wonderful potluck at Jim & Diane's campground, as usual Boomer food is always yummy! Chit chatted and played games and had such a great time together. Hopefully we will see them again before we leave the Northwest.

Winnie age 11, Granddaughter of Jim Baker & Diane Fisher who is quite a poet and has written a book of poems at age 10. She was a very sweet gal and a joy to be around.

We managed to all be able to get together and had a special surprise of having Jeannette & Bill come to town just at the same time. We had fun pigging out at the Restaurants and playing Domino's at night.
Dan and I stayed in Pasco so we could get some things fixed with the motorhome. Glad we had lots of power for the air-conditioner because it was pretty warm.

Life On Wheels Conference

Here is Dan & Dick heading to one of their classes for the Life On Wheels Conference. Conference was July 9-14th 2006. We had about 500 people learning and sharing the RV experiences. Was great to see the instructors and Gaylord & Margie Maxwell. Always a joy to help out Linda Newberry and Peggy Waterman make the conference a smooth success. Always a joy to see friends again that we have met there at the conference. You truely will find some wonderful friends there.

We all have something in common, we all love to travel to new horizons.

Life On Wheels could not be as successful as it is without the help from Linda Newberry and Peggy Waterman.

Peggy is a wannabee camper, she really wants to travel like the rest of us. Both have been Teachers and work for the University Of Idaho.

We adore these two gals!!

Gaylord Maxwell
Gaylord is the founder and Director of the Life On wheels.
He was a former history teacher turned RV dealer and has written articles for Trailer Life, Motor home, RV Business, Woodalls Campground Management.
He has written two books.
Gaylord and his wife Margie winter in Yuma Az.

He started Life On Wheels twelve years ago in Moscow Idaho and we now have programs in Bowling Green Kentucky, Bethleham Pennsylvania, DesMoines Iowa and our new one in Tucson Arizona.




This is Dick Reed
Dick has owned and operated the oldest RV driving school in the U.S. for over 16 years. He has been a truck driving instructor for 30 years and been a RVer for nearly three decades. He has trained thousands of RV owners to drive their big rigs safely and comfortably down the road. He drives a converted bus and travels with his wife Lue.

Here are our friends Mike & Terri Church with Dan.

Mike & Terri travel all over Mexico, Alaska, Europe, Canada and the Western U.S. They travel in their camper or class C motorhome and write travel guide books. They have written 5 books and now currently writing a book on camping in the Southwest. We LOVE their guide to Mexican Camping book....it is our Bible to traveling in Mexico. We adore them!!

This is the Kibbie Dome behind Lot A, this is the Campus of University of Idaho.
Every July we map out the areas where we park all the RV's for the Life On Wheels Conference.
Most of the instructors and staff and early birds were parked on the grass in Lot A. The rest were parked in the blacktop & Gravel areas of the parking area.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AUNT ALICE!!

Dan and I headed up to the Ocean Shores Wa so we could celebrate our Aunt Alice's 91st birthday on July 2nd. We camped over at the Ocean Shores Western Horizons park about 8 miles from Grant and Donna's cabin.

We were delighted to celebrate Alice's birthday with our family. Jim & Jan, Barbara, Audra & David . Trevor & kim stopped by later.

From this photo I believe she is counting back now....sure hope I look this good at 91! Aunt Alice is still very independant and always positive.
