Nancy and I always go out to dinner together to celebrate our birthdays

We used to go to Anthony's Home Port for our tradtional bucket of clams followed by dinner but boy we got short changed on the clams this year so decided to go to Wally's Fish & Chips in DesMoines and start a new tradtion there.

Later we went out to the cemetery so I could put flowers on Sarah's grave. Sarah, is my daughter that was a stillborn in 1984. Every year Nancy and I put flowers on her grave.

Dinner with friends

Had dinner with Bob & Sue Morgan and Ken Haven & Carol Neff, Bob & Ken used to work with Dan. Thanks for the great dinner Bob & Sue. Bob is a fantastic cook!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANCY!
Nancy and I have been Best Friends since I was in the 5th grade, she is my VERY special Sister. We have been though so much with each other and have always been there for each other. I love her dearly!!

These are the flowers I got her for her birthday.

Doctor Visit

Dan had a visit with the doctor for a Colonoscopy, no polyps this time so does not have to come back for another 5 yrs. He slept through the procedure this time.

Had a funny thing happen in the waiting room. The nurse called Dan to follow her and said
" Your wife will be glad to see you" Dan thought " Huh? I just left my wife?" He walked around the corner and the nurse opened the curtain and suddenly a lady on a gurney says " THAT"S not my Husband!!" The Nurse had called the wrong Dan!! It was pretty funny!!

Dan was more droggy this time so I drove him back to the motorhome and he went to sleep for a couple hours.

Took the cats in for their yearly shots . We were happy to hear they were all doing good keeping their weight down, Especially Biff.
Biff dropped from 28.4 LBS to an even 25 LBS Roaming in AZ has really been good for him!

Happy Birthday Grandson Ty and Grandpa Frank, they both share the same day for their birthdays. Hope you both had a great day!

Move to Tall Chief

Aug 12th we moved over to Tall Chief campground, we settled in #34 but could not get internet due to the trees so we moved on the 14th to #12 used the portable satellite for TV and got the internet going. We are not happy campers unless we have internet.



Aug 14th Met up with Mom & Dad in Fall City at the Raging River Cafe for dinner. All of us had a fantastic great Prime Rib dinner....best we have had in a LONG time and not expensive either. We'll be back!!



Aug 17th My best friend Nancy came over to visit us and later other friends Bill & Diane came over so we all went out for Chinese food that was really good up in Issaquah.



Aug 20th Dan and I went over to Nancys for family dinner, we had so much fun with lots of giggles. Nancys kids helped us take some of our stuff out of the attic and loaded up the Jeep full of boxes. So glad I emptied the basement compartment because it is full now! Thanks Nancy for letting us store our things in your attic and thanks Kari,Eric and Nicholas for helping us move stuff to the Jeep.

Catching up with Friends

Caught back up with Friends Jim & Barb Sweeney here at the park, went out to Mexican Dinner in Sultan on Monday 4th to the Ixtapa Restaurant. We really like it there, great food and not as many people there as the Sister one in Monroe. We were in Las Vegas with them back in May, we hope to caravan together next year and do it again since Dan did not have fun in Vegas and rushed to the hosp with the pinched Sciatic nerve. So we plan on going back .

Tues 5th we had a early dinner in the RV and then drove over to Tall Chief to challenge friends Mel & Carolyn Carpenter to the game of Hand N Foot. The guys won....barely! The score was pretty tight the whole time. We had a blast. Carolyn makes card holders for Hand N Foot so I bought a couple and she is going to teach me how to make them once I get back to Tall Chief.

Wed 6th Headed up to Bothell to see Friends Joe & Hanah Dubuc, they were on the Alaskan trip with us Last Summer, headed to Grazie Italian Restaurant..The Best!!! Hannah & Joe are world travelers from their prior jobs and Hannah is from Ireland. Some day I am going to go over there with her to Ireland. Ever since I touched down in Shannon Ireland so my plane could refuel I have wanted to go back and stay there.

Sat 9th We are going to catch up with Hannah & Joe again and also Tom & Dori Weissman.
All of us have a Alfa Seeya motorhomes and LOVE them and like to travel together. Tom & Dori were the first ALFA to be with us on the lot back in March. Friends Barb & Sid Zielke were the first ALFA to be on the lot before we built the casita....hopefully we will get a chance to see them too before we head over to the Olympic Peninsula next month.

Blackberry bushes are still green because WA did not have a Spring this year, it had cold snowy weather in April! Berry's are usually ripe by now.
















Redneck party boat!

We often see this guy on the river, his property is several houses down from the campground. He has a motor and goes up the river and then coasts back down and anchors it near his property and have Happy Hours on the barge/boat.

Master Carver

Our friend Mel Carpenter is a Master Carver, I always see him Whittling some kind of wood into creative things. The past couple years he has been carving on bark wood. He looks for dead or down wood. He never takes the bark off a live tree. Some of his newest creations were made with Sequoia

Where did July go!

WOW! Hard to believe July has come and gone so fast!
We had a fantastic time with family and friends and got to be with all the kids and grandkids so I got my Grandma Fix .
Weather on the most part has been really great with lots of fun things to do.
Only one more month and we are on our way to head to the coast and have a blast along the shores.
