Oct 15-19th Having Fun in CA
Ok ok I know my posts are way behind! I'm trying to catch up though!
Oct 15th we arrived to the San Benito Thousand Trails park, had a nice site right next to the bathrooms. Had a huge tree next to us and every night the huge Great Horned Owl perched above us being noisy. We made sure the cats were not outside in the evening because of it!
Had a nice relaxing time there but also ventured over to see Harold Mann, Dan's friend and go have lunch together.
Had a blast with Cousins Grant & Donna at their rented bungalow for 3 months in Carmel-By-The-Sea. After spending alot of time with them I understood why they love going there!! Very charming town and the views are awesome. All the house's have a name not a number and two houses side by side look like cottages from the story book called " Hansel & Gretel". Views of Pebble beach area were cool.
Loved having a picnic on the beach near the Mission Ranch owned by Actor Clint Eastwood...thanks again Donna, she is ALWAYS the greatest hostess!!
We went to see them two days, on the 2nd day heading over we saw not one but TWO huge Tarantulas going across a road. I jumped out of the car to get a close up photo of the first one and then made sure it got off the road so it wouldn't get hit. The second one was running across the road further up the road and got off safe. I have never seen them in the wild!
We had such a great time and now looking for campgrounds closer to Grant & Donna for next year! We just love being with Grant & Donna!!

Dan and retired Metro friend Harold Mann. Harold got a fantastic job with Pismo Beach Golf club as their Transportation Manager. He has met some of the wealthiest and Stars that golf there. He loves his job and loves getting to golf there FREE. One round of golf is $500.00!!
As we were heading to Carmel-By-The -Sea, we saw a group of motorcycles on the freeway, I thought it was cool to see most of them were women but then I took a double take when I saw this special dog carrier going down the road with the group!
