Special Thousand Trails friends come to visit
Chuck & Ella Mae, Jim & Barb Sweeney, Dan & Jenny, Bill & Dianna Swain, Tom & Sandy Yrock

We often would see or travel with these wonderful people through the years and Bill & Dianna were coming to Yuma and Jim & Barb and Tom & Sandy winter here too so it was a delight to get them all over to our place for the day.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Dan and I decided it was smarter to go out to dinner on the 13th rather than the 14th. I think some others had the same idea! We went out to Mimi's Cafe in Yuma with our friends Bill & Diane Melde-Joyce and had a delicious dinner.

Our Valentines Day presents were a Wii / Wii Fit board and the Dance Revolution for me and a handheld GPS for Geo Caching for Dan. Geo caching is modern day treasure hunts with hidden treasures all over the U.S. and you have to find them by GPS.

Only problem now if Dan is ALWAYS on the Wii!!! We challenge each other to get the highest scores on all the activities on it! It's a blast!!! I still have him beat on the Ski jump hee-hee-hee.

Valentine's Day Party!

Bev is the Hostess every year for the Valentine's Day Party 3 doors down from us .This year the theme was Mardi Gras and it was cute seeing everyone parade up and down our street in all their costumes!

Hooray I have a new start on my cactus this year! Last year the Summer heat dried the top off and I was scared I'd lose my beautiful blooming cactus but I paid Sandy next door to keep the plants watered through the Summer and it paid off with a new addition to the mother plant and the babies are almost as big as the mother cactus. No signs yet that it is going to bloom yet. Happens in April mostly and each bloom lasts ONLY one day and then the bloom dies! Seeing it bloom though is AWESOME!!

Thanks again Sandy for all your hard work keeping them alive in the blistering Summer!

Oooh pretty pretty!! I planted some seeds last year and nothing came up and then suddenly in Feb up popped this plant! It's a California Bluebell. Since taking this photo it has doubled in size and blooms!!! Beautiful plant!!!
