Franklin County RV Park "Trac" in Pasco WA

We arrived to the Franklin County RV Park next to the TRAC, cost us $350.00 for a whole month....such a deal! We have power/water/cable/wi-fi, a great wide campsite and the cats have their grass...MEOW!

We've decided that we will come back here next year in June. Weather in Eastern Washington is much better than Western Washington in the beginning of Summer.

Lots to do here and visit with our Aunt Rete, Uncle Fred and Sister Chris. We don't often get a chance to see them so it was nice to have a month with them. Dan took advantage of the many bike trails in the county.

Hermiston Oregon May 27-29th

Spent two nights at the Pioneer RV Park in Hermiston Oregon, very nice small park . Aunt Rete drove over from the Tri-cities to come see us and we took her out to lunch for Chinese Buffet. While in Hermiston I bought a new Little Green Machine for cleaning our rugs.

Boondocking in Ontario Oregon

Spent a quiet night at a rest area N.W. of Ontario Oregon. Area was marked off " No Trucks- Area closed" on the truck side. We got permission to spend the night in the RV. Had one travel trailer come in later that night and stayed next to us and was gone by morning. Several trucks did sneak in to sleep for a few hours and were all gone by dawn too.

Costly day on fuel $424.64 for 2 fuel stops.

On the road again

We enjoyed our stay at Charlie's, got to hug our friends and meet new Alfa friends. I did not have to cook much , seems we all got together and would go out to dinner or breakfast.
We noticed right away how smooth the ride was leaving Charlies...WOW!! We even got better gas mileage and went up hills faster! So we were more than pleased!!

Mon May 26th camped out at the rest area N.W. of Ontario Oregon, very quiet night had only 1 Air Stream travel trailer next to us and was gone by the time we got up in the morning. Several semi's had also stopped for the night and gone by morning time but all in all it was a peaceful quiet night. I got a bunch of updated information on Oregon from the Visitor's Center at the Rest stop. Dan and I plan on going down the Oregon coast in Sept on our way back to AZ..

Tepanyaki Restaurant

One night while we were at Charlie's we all went out to dinner at Tepanyaki a Japanese steakhouse and Sushi bar. Had a great dinner and the fun is watching the comical chefs prepare your dinner right in front of you. Dan had steak & Shrimp and I had Teriyaki Chicken. Great food!!

Charlie's Service in Sunset Utah

We traveled to Charlie's Service in Sunset Utah to get our M3 service, M3 is changing the oil, changing filters, lube & grease chassis and other things. We also got the engine squeaky clean again and she's purring like a kitten again!!
We also upgraded and added new things, fixed a whole bunch of stuff and Seeya is running smooth again.

Gilbert, Gilberto, Tom, Charlie & Mario did a excellent job getting her back into tip top shape. Also special thanks to Vicki & Maggy for all their help too!

Many people do not know that Alfa has gone out of business and we do not have too many options for good quality service on our motorhome, Charlie's service is the best as far as we are concerned. Honest work and friends also.

Charlie & Vicki DuBose take pride in making sure your motorhome is done right . They make a point to make you comfortable there, they allow you to stay in your RV and provide Power and water and have a dump site. We recommend them highly!

We not only trust their service we are very happy to call them our friends.

Alfas all lined up getting maintence work on them. On the side by us was a weird motorhome, looked like a large Semi .

Our batteries were not charging right when we were in Quartzsite in January so we knew it was time for some new batteries. Often we Boondock some where without power hookups , one of the ways we can save money along the way. We have three 120 watt solar panels on the roof so they charge up the batteries. So it is important to make sure your batteries are good ones to work properly.

We enjoy power in the middle of nowhere. Boy I think back to my ancestors and their wagon trains and how hard it was to keep food from spoiling and always lighting a fire with found wood or dried cow chips to cook your food and at night so you can see in the dark and having the motorhome is a modern day wagon and I just love it!! I know my great great grandma would have loved the convenience of using propane heat for her cooking and keeping warm, frig and freezer to keep food cold and fresh, batteries , solar panels and a generator for lots of light plus a comfortable bed and insulated rooms to fight off the wind and rain and a bathroom! I am so spoiled and glad I live in this generation!!

What do you do when your motorhome is in the shop? You sit around and have a good time!

Gilbert putting in the new motor on our main slide out. Both Gilbert and Gilberto worked hard to clean and tune up our engine, putting in the new slide motor and work on other projects. They do an excellent job and we love their sense of humor as they work.

Congratulations Gilberto , he is getting married soon! Gilberto used to live in Mexico near Morelia in the state of Michoacan where we went to see the Monarch Butterflies.
