Loved the Tri-Cities WA May 30th to June 29th

Dan and I had a great time down in the Tri-Cities, we have decided we liked it so much the month of June that we are going to return next year and do it again!!



We had a great time being with Rete, Fred and Chris and friend Mike too. We enjoyed playing lots of games of Dominoes, riding bikes....Dan was loving all the bike trails!!



Enjoyed meals together on the weekends at the local buffets.



Enjoyed the sunshine and even put up a few days of severe wind and thunderstorms but all in all we had a great time East of the mountains.



Rete and I had fun down at the WildHorse Casino in Pendleton OR. Rete and I both love the penny slot machines. I copied off a bunch of my computer slot machine games so when she can't get down to the casinos she can still have fun at home.

Seems like just yesterday he was a little kid riding on Aunt Rete's Honda 90 and now look at him all grown up and handsome and a great guy at 35 yrs old!

I love you SO much!!!
I'm anxious to have him come to Yuma one of these days and come stay with us in the winter time and ride the motorcycle down.

He's got grandpa Sam's love of motorcycles!!

Happy 75th Birthday Mom!

Sister Chris, Mom ( Dotty) and Jenny celebrating Mom's 75 th birthday a bit late. Mom's birthday is really June 16th but Chris and I were down the the Tri-cities WA so our Aunt Rete convinced her to get on down there to be with us and we surprised her with a party.

Antique show and performances in the Park

Dan, Mom & Dad and I went to the park in Richland to check out the Antique show and watch Fred Perform on stage with his clogging group.
Didn't see anything I just had to have . Whew! Said Dan!!

Here is my wonderful Aunt Rete who got me started in photography, she is so special to me!!

Hooray I did not break the camera!! Only the polarizer filter lens was shattered but the main glass on the lens was intact....Whew!!
I cannot unscrew the filter from the camera though, it's jammed onto the camera. I'm just so glad that I did not break the camera!!

Looking along the Columbia River
Alot of people go up and down the river, many water ski, many have jet skis, alot like to fish. Every July there are the Hydro Races and very fast jet boats roar down the river to win the trophy for fastest boat, it draws thousands and thousands of people from all around to watch them.

I noticed that growth has just tripled since being here as a child, hills that were once nothing but snakes and sagebrush are now booming communities! Rete and Fred said it was still a peaceful place to live though.

Dan trying to figure out why my bike is not working right. Had to take it to the bike shop and got a new chain, brakes,cables.
Unfortunately having the bikes on the back of the Jeep without a cover they get really really dirty going down the road and chain affected by rain too. Why don't we cover the bikes? Blocks the view of the Jeep brakes. Wish we had a see through cover.

This Rose reminded me of the Rose we had in our back yard when we lived in Puyallup. I miss my Roses!

Just after taking this photo I put the camera in my bike basket and it fell to the ground shattering my polarize filter lens ...groan!!

I was just in awe of all the Roses growing in every one's yards!! I swear every yard had many different kinds...just beautiful!!
